Your Chance for ImmortalitySoul Motel is still in development, but the principle of the project is to take social networking to the next level. Web 3.0 will be all about quality, permanence and the longing for immortality.
Instead of just twittering with diurnal gossip, bloviating on blogs or self promoting through ego surfing, SOUL MOTEL offers a completely different prospect - a place where you shore up yourself against death and mortality, a repository of your dreams, the space where you'd want to persist when you die.
SOUL MOTEL started off life as a radio play, and one of the first sorealist works by the founders Peter Jukes and Marcos D'Cruze. Based entirely through the updates, emails and apps of a social networking site it is - as far as we know - the first play to be completely conceived in Web 2.0 terms. It was written by Peter and Marcos appears - sorealistically - almost as himself, as a musician trying to find fame on fortune in a My Space way. The play features music by Marcos too.
