I am a big believer in Duende.

This is how I manage my sprituality as a human and I would like to open the debate and ask any discerning Sorealist here, how do you square your Spritual circle with your Humanity?

I would like to ask that of Richard Dawkins someday because Duende is surely a part of evoloution and there is real evidence here to back it up I mean just listen to this: Camaron De La Isla

Just to be provocative: who says we're spiritual beings first? I've evidence, through my DNA, that I am (probably) human, and while I value and hold dear all those 'spiritual experiences' I've shared, the proof of them is nebulous, to be found in friendship, ecstasy, love and art. And how can I prove these? How can I be sure they're not just some religious righteous propaganda, laid on us to keep us in line?

Ha! But I can't leave it there, because there is someone which makes us uniquely human (as far as we know). Thanks to culture, cultural memory, and our amazing ability to build scenarios into the future, we are - unlike other mammals - uniquely aware of our mortality, and the transience of our lives. This gives our lived moments an added poignancy and power. If these kind of feelings are what you mean by 'spiritual' (i.e. our awareness of transience and beauty) then I'm on your side.
